Livestreaming

With the Many Hats I Wore

In recent times, we have seen a pivot towards livestream content, whether it be live music, podcasting, video game streaming, corporate events, and more. As such, my time in live radio and understanding of multiple online broadcasting services perfectly prepared me for the demands of today. It is a vocation that I jumped into the deep end and I feel I not only float, but swim in this like a dolphin. It should be noted that I was wearing multiple hats on all of the following shows, with the context of which provided.

I hope to add more to as time goes on!

Dropbox's Black Box

Technical Director/Live Stream Director

With employees going into hybrid work schedules and continued work from home, DropBox had decided to host their company seminars in a way to accommodate their team both at home and at the office via presentations in their state of the art auditorium, complete with live streaming and a massive LED wall.

I was tasked with the double duty of ensuring both the livestream content and LED wall presentation slides were all running concurrently, especially in regards to camera angles being at their needed places for their cues, lower thirds being implemented correctly, and making sure guested video calling in for speeches to be properly presented in both the physical and digital locations. Software used was a mix of BlackMagic, Google Slides, and Zoom.

Fashion Sphere 2022: Resurgence

Editor/Producer/Camera/Advisor

A multitude of responsibilities in the midst of a very challenging production, with multiple talents backing out and a team still trying to emerge from COVID lockdowns. My production and camerawork skillset can be seen and exemplified at multiple segments (such as here and here).

Also, I was asked last minute to come meet with the technical direction team in the last week before broadcast in order to get the show into a serviceable stage. Considering the nerves and stress that the team was showing, I am thrilled to say that, in the end, they managed to pull off a fantastic showcase!

2021 Fashion Sphere

Lead Technical Director

This livestream was done in the midst of lockdown winding down, where all departments of the showcase were working from home during production and the presentation. This included myself in full control of the show's livestream.

This included giving live cues, organizing all video packages and on-screen presentation, giving proper feedback and awareness to on-camera talent, and ensuring a quality showcase of the CCSF Fashion Department.

Fan Faction - Dress Rehearsal

Technical Director/On-Air Personality/Motion Graphics

Insight Editions attempted to create a weekly podcast show highlighting the latest in "geek culture", showcase some of the titles being published, some comedy skits, and a bit of discussion too.

My foremost role was technical director, but I was also an on-camera talent with takes at the ready and created all motion graphics on display. Alas the show never got the chance to go further, but it was a fantastic experience that absolutely taught me I could do this from a skill standpoint and also know that the pressure of this work was not of concern.
